We've got fans everywhere and that seems to do the trick... We have a moveable air con unit (well steve has in his office which i will steal!) but haven't used it yet as not sure if it will make the air too cold for the little ones....anyone have any thoughts on this?

I don't have any experience with this and don't know much on the subject, but I'd assume a fan would be better anyway? Dogs do cool themselves through their abdomen (why they often lay belly-down on the floor, more so with flooring/tiles). I think if you have the windows open and fresh air blowing through, it would probably be better for them. Obviously you don't want to set the temp to cold but I think it also depends on the temp outside. What are the temp settings on there?

You can set it to whatever temp you desire...it makes me cough if it's on too long ( which is why i don't really like it....)
I've got a massive fan and that cools the whole room, but i tend to leave the patio door open as this is my work room. The dogs like to sit just inside in the cool breeze, looking out into the garden!! lol (Steve doesn't know i leave the door open!!)

I'm not actually a fan of AC myself (no pun intended lol). It makes me feel a bit ill after a while!
If you think they need it though, I'd check online or maybe with your vet as to what the right temp should be for a Chihuahua.
