Who know it was going to this hot ! .... my dogs are cooking quite literally they have scattered themselves all around the house trying to keep cool ! anyone got any tips im worried particuly for my old boy josh who is about 13years old ! iv tryied a fan but they hate it iv put ice cubes in there water ect ...... I was thinking of getting one of those blue ice pads/boxs and wrapping a towel around it and placing it on the floor ?! but i don't think there get it lol ... any ideas ?

Give him a luke warm bath and let him dry naturally. Mine are hit too even the pups are panting. Freeze some goats yoghurt and give to him or some frozen fruit

thats a good idea about the frozen Yogurt , not sure on the bath for Josh as he hates baths at the best of times and completely freaks out lol ....

What about taking some empty soda bottles or something, filling them w/water & freezing them? That would give them something cool to lay against? When it gets hot here during the summer I keep a water bottle handy & mist everyone down every once in a while. Seems to help a bit too.

I can mist josh but he poops himself every time and trys to run away and hide i think his eyesight is starting go a little too bless him ! Having a OAP around in this heat is no fun !

Everyone should send their dogs to mine, it's lovely and cool in my flat! In fact, my dogs have actually been wrapping up in the duvet (my sons baby one) to sleep! LOL

you lucky thing Lucy ! ....... Out here on the farm its bloody hot ! just the animals get me worried as there have been no build up to this med tempiture ! but now everyone has got into the grove so not too bad ! lol
Josh it handling it better now im almost thinking of having his coat clipped right back to help him, he is almost double coated as the stress of him painting is not good for his heart ect ....
