They do hate the liquid pepto though hahahahaha. I've never seen such good 'yucky' faces from my dogs as I did from that. So, I tend to use the caplet or the chewable and pop it down their throat or trick them to eat it with some cheese (velveeta works great!) molded around it...

Thank you SO much for the replies everyone. I really appreciate it. I'm happy to say she is totally back to normal today. She did her laps in the yard (lol) and has been bringing me her toys and playing like crazy. And she's eating normal again.  I'm so relieved. I wasn't too concerned the first day, but this lasted about 3 days off and on. No clue what caused it. It was only on day 3 that she outright refused her food that I really became concerned. Not eating her first meal of the day seemed to have gotten her back on track, so I never needed to give the pepto. Sarah and Kristi - thank you again for the suggestions. Kristi- I can actually give Roo any liquid really easy. I just put it in the little syringe thingie, put it back in her mouth and squirt it in. I never have a problem, thankfully. Anything solid is always a problem with Roo. Little miss "I will find anything that is not food nomatter how well it's disguised!" will immediately spit it out and give me her "I'm not falling for that!" look. LOL. Tracy - thank you so much for the amount to give of the pepto and your other suggestions. As always, you are so helpful. Thank you! Heather and Lucy - thank you for the well wishes. I'm so glad she is back to her adorable happy little self! |
