We were at a car boot sale today,we had betsy with us when my husband was approached by a gypsy in a van,he's very well known in our town, anyway he told my husband that he had just purchased a 6 month old chi boy and if we wanted we could take betsy to him next year so we could mate her with his dog!!!!,he told my husband that as betsy is so small we would get teacup chi's off her and make a fortune!,I was disgusted when my husband told me ,I can't start to think how he is treating his chi's apparently he's got 3 all for breeding to make money, omg I wouldn't let him stroke betsy never mind let his dog mate with her,the thought of breeding her just because I could make money turns my stomache, people like him need putting down, bit harsh I know but many years ago he had rot ties and he let his bitch have her pups outside near his house with all the neighbours watching !,there are some ruthless people about, karen

That's sickening isn't it. UGH. I've had people come up to me with their chi's and ask if they can use Brody on their girls! UMmmmmmm NOOOOO. Even if he WAS intact I wouldn't!! People are so ignorant. And the comments about being able to make money and get teacup puppies.... it's just sickening.

I can't belive how heartless some pet owners are. Just getting a Chi to "make use of it" by breeding them so they can earn money by selling the puppies. They don't even care about the risks of small Chi females giving birth or any health problems. I am sure once the dogs are no use for them anymore (because of being too old or something) they will just try to get rid of them as easily as possible .

Not to scare you but I'd keep Betsy close because you wouldn't want her to go missing because they know about her. I tell EVERYONE I meet that everyone is neutered/ spayed. Well, 2 are and the other 2 will be done. Its just not worth the risk!

It happens all the time sadly. I tell people mine are done and after Lucy's add vice tell everyone they bite LOL we've had a lot of chis stolen around here recently and I know I'm a prime target with 4 walking down the street happily!
People are sadly uneducated about the breed and breeding I've chosen to ignore now because it really upsets me
