Our new pup is going on 8 weeks. He wasn't doing this when we first brought him home, but lately he's been dribbling pee. Anyone else deal with this? It's not a lot. Just a drip or two here and there. Mainly when he's on your lap or being held.

I don't really think that is normal, I would maybe have a vet check things out...he could have a UTI or something else going on.

Agree with Kristi, have a vet check him over and check for a UTI. If that is ruled out, then I would be looking at submissive urination as a cause.

It just happened that day and as soon as I posted he stopped. Very glad. Phew... He is going back to the vet on Monday. Getting another round of puppy shots and consulting with the vet to see if I can get in on the free neuter they offer for college students (Hubby is a PHD student).

i think it's probably just a pup thing as some of my guests do it as they are in new surroundings - a submissive thing i think.
lula occasionally does it when she gets super excitied (she's 5!!) and i look after a very old chihuahua who also does it occasionally...but i don't think it's too much of a problem
