Lula never wears a collar in the house as its very secure and she's never really on her own. She only wears a harness when we're out and that always has a tag with house no#, postcode and phone number.
My friend has chis and hers wear day collars with tags (just in case) These are super soft leather with tiny cat buckles so very light weight. They are also suitable for dog walking as they have d rings to attatch a lead.
I do have one customer who asked me to make her day collars with cat quick release clips. That way, if they get caught up, they will ping off. They are not really suitable for walking out in unless your dog does not pull at all.

I haven't put Louie's collar back on, put his tag back on his harness. I just HATE the fur getting ruffled on the back of his neck it looks horrible! Our garden is enclosed out the back door so no worries with that. He has been wandering around the street a few times when some idiot left the gate open but luckily for me he doesn't go anywhere and comes back when called looking guilty as ever! When we move we are surrounded by gardens so have no gate to worry about and 6ft panelled fencing all the way around His tag has our house number and street name and post code. And 2 numbers on the back. Need a new one for when we move so might add that hes chipped on it to. Would add that hes neutured but quite obvious as he has no bits lol Whenever we go out anywhere he always has his tags on him so I guess a collar isn't that important as long as he has tags on him right? I see so many cute collars and they look cute on him apart from his stoopid hair

My Pom got out once at my old house where the door didn't lead to the yard and I yelled out treats to get her back too. haha. I think collars are super cute too, I just wish I felt safer with them wearing them. I am such a worry wart type. Lol! Treats is the magic word! I would be nervous about leaving mine home alone together with their collars on, but Reese is the only one who gets run of the house so I dont worry about him. When theyre all reliable enough to be loose when we are gone I would probably remove their collars too. Although I dont know that Miley will ever be able to have run of the house when were out, she is always into something! I was really glad she knew the word treats! It came in handy. LOL. I wouldn't worry as much if it was just one either really, but with the way Pip and Roo play sometimes i can see it being possible for them to someone get attached. Probably unlikely, but once I get a thought in my head, that's it. LOL.

Mine wear their collars only when they go outside. They are all microchipped.

My dogs do not wear collars at home. The collars hold the rabies license and ID's, but are only worn when we travel with them, or take them out. I've had a bad experiece with leaving a collar on one of them all the time. My first boy was nealy strangled by his collar when another dog was playing with him and got her teeth caught in the D-ring on his collar.

Oh my goodness thats awful! Thank goodness you got to him in time!
I do prefer collars with the quick release clip just in case of something like this happening!
