panacur 10%

hiya just wanted to see if enyone uses panacur 10% for dogs,cats just bought it its like white liqid.

i used to take pixie to vets for worming but want to do it at home now it cost 20 quid for a 100ml bottle am not sure how many times a year to do it i know its 1ml in their food, and if u use it is it eny good? lol thanks

Do your dogs have worms? We only use a wormer when it is necessary. Maybe you could take in a stool sample? Just using an insecticide "just because" seems unnecessary to me.

Panacur is normally used in pregnant bitches and worming young pups! I wouldnt use it for anything other than that!! I also dont worm however they do get wormed during the summer as I prevent against lungworm

I use it for mine. I buy it from VetUK.

I don't worm as regularly as they suggest though.

ok thanks i will only worm when needed i hate that on the box and the vets tell me every 3 months its confusing

Just a way to make money. Just keep an eye on their stools for anything unusual and don't let them get too close to other dog's poo or snails/slugs!

I was going to say a lot of people here to worm full stop, I only do because my dogs are filthy little beasts who like eating and rolling in poo lol. Dog poo, cat poo, fox poo it just makes me feel better.
If they didn't I probably wouldn't worm them so much, just used Advocate during the summer months like a lot of the other members do.

What it comes down to is doing what makes you feel most comfortable
Its nice for us all to share knowledge here and then decide for ourselves without feeling pressure
