It just shows dogs really do live in the moment bless her little heart!! Just wondered whether they said anything about joint support for her? Obviously this should be enough now but I suppose it's never a dead certain that it won't deteriorate anymore! I know some vets aren't ofay with supplementing but I think it doesn't hurt with stuff like this! I know you do anyway but was just wondering if they mentioned it? Amy could you try and get a video of lolas knee I'm so intrigued to see what it's like

You know what Paula, I just wanted to say well done to you too. Because seriously, there are not many people who would take on a rescue and go through everything you have. Too many people would've just put a dog straight back in a shelter because they couldn't afford to or just didn't want the hassle of vet appointments, surgeries etc.
You are an amazing woman and brilliant owner x

Thanks Kristi. I have never seen them actually. Does Oakley do ok with the cheese? It doesn't give her diarrhea or anything? I have never given Roo cheese, I guess that's my only worry that it would upset her stomach or something. What kind of cheese do you give? It just shows dogs really do live in the moment bless her little heart!! Just wondered whether they said anything about joint support for her? I know some vets aren't ofay with supplementing but I think it doesn't hurt with stuff like this! I know you do anyway but was just wondering if they mentioned it? They did not mention it, but I asked both orthopedic surgeons that I saw and neither of them surprisingly put much stock in it. I guess my feeling is lubricating the joints certainly should help and can't hurt. My vet, however, felt I should use it and I do. Not sure what to make of the ortho's thoughts really, but they both acted the same about it. I go in on Thursday for a recheck with the ortho and to get her sutures removed. I will ask more questions about it then and ask him why he doesn't think it necessary to see what he says. You know what Paula, I just wanted to say well done to you too. That is so sweet of you to say. x

Wow the sutures are comign out quite quickly then?
Chaos is going in for his to be removed on Wednesday. It was originally going to be tomorrow (Monday) but vet thought we could leave it two more days. Maybe because his are located on his stomach?

I'm not sure really.. I thought that is seemed quite soon too though, but it says April 7th on the paperwork for suture removal. Can't come soon enough because I feel so bad putting that soft cone on her head at night. They actually do seem fairly healed, but I think after her first surgery they were in longer, 10 days plus, if I recall correctly.
