None of my guys are insured! If anything happens *touch wood it doesnt* then we will stick it on the credit card. it will work out cheaper than paying 100 a month just in case something happens Yea thats a gd way of doing it i never thought of that!

Yeah I was thinking of just cancelling and instead of paying £20 per dog per month just putting it in a savings account! Credit card is a good idea as well. Sarah I was insured for £12,000 I thought that was brilliant but not worth £28 when it went up

I have enough debt as it is once my CC is clear I maywell do that but for now I'm gonna keep them Insured Lucy when I read it it was £12k and that was it not for life so say if she had cancer and she was 8 and her treatment had hit the £12k they wouldn't pay anymore where as this is £7500 a year for life regardless of if you aren't insured with them anymore. And when I did m and s it was only £7k and Brackens broken leg was that so I was like eeeeee

I just got Daisy's renewal, last time it was Darla's and am waiting for Dillon's next. Daisy's has gone up by £4 so no too bad, it's £15.46 as of April 30th, plus a renewal fee of £9. The idiots have on it that she isnt spayed though even though when she had that done i called to tell them. I am thinking of changing to direct line as they do multi pet discounts and have heard good things about them. I am with the PDSA right now, the top cover at £7000. It says if your pet is 6 years old or over then you have to pay a further 20% as well as the normal excess for treatments. Daisy is 4 now so it doesnt apply to me yet, but still.

Oakley had a claim last year and hers didn't go up...I pay between $22 and $25 for each of mine, Laurel's not insured tho, nor are the younger girls, so really just "my" 3 pets are insured. Frankly I think it makes more sense to stick the $$ in a savings account, but I don't know why, I like having them covered, b'c what if something REALLY bad happens? Sure $2k out of pocket here or there -- no biggie. But what if its some bizarre $10k one off? Then I'd be glad I had it. I figure at age 4 or 5 I will stop insuring them. I am kind of of the mind that while I love them dearly, there are certain things I will not do for a pet--e.g. chemo, cancer treatments, etc. I would rather let them enjoy their last few months than have them treated through the wazoo for things. That's probably just me, tho...

That's probably just me, tho... There was a rather young dog getting chemo when Roo was in for her surgery. I saw his crate with his name and labeled chemo when I went back to visit Roo. It made me sad.
