See I don't have access to £3k for surgery especially with my current situation and that waste of space sperm donor!!! Urgh the day he dies will be a huge weight of my shoulders!! So mine have to be insured I just can't afford to do it any other way ATM I like that I only have to pay £60 if something happens and tbh if I didn't have them insured I would lay my life on it and say there would be some freak accident

Just checked how much Sainsburys would be for us and they want £20 a month for Kiki.

Just shopping around to see what I'd get and I've been putting in Kiki's original price, checked with argos and put in that she cost £100 and whoa the difference! To be honest, if she was lost or stolen, I would not care about getting any money back for her, I just want to be covered for injury or illness.

I currently pay £15 a month for Harry using the Kennel Club. They use the Agria Pet Insurance company, and their quote was quite a bit lower than Sainsbury etc. but for higher cover. No idea if they are as competitive this year though, although they are advertising 50% off for the first 2 months (effectively 1 month free) at the moment. www.kcinsurance.co.uk/

That was one of the things I liked about it - the flexibility of the cover you can choose. Be interesting to see how much they try to hike Harry's cover up to when it's due for renewal in July.

I am kind of of the mind that while I love them dearly, there are certain things I will not do for a pet--e.g. chemo, cancer treatments, etc. I would rather let them enjoy their last few months than have them treated through the wazoo for things. That's probably just me, tho... Does that apply to all of your dogs (including the ones you show)?
