Just wondering how many of you out there have a chi mix. Our lucy is a mix (obviously), but she has so many chi qualitities about her. I never really realized how much until we got Bailey.
Anyway, what's your chi mixed with? We aren't really sure about Lucy...sometimes we even think, and have gotten comments about, her being mixed with an italian grey hound. I can't imagine those are out running the streets too much (which is where lucy came from) but she sure is a uniquie looking pooch..hehee, never saw one like her and I'm sure I never will.

I think Laurel might be mixed with doxie or corgi, but more likely doxie...really we don't know at all, so we just have fun guessing!

It is fun guessing isn't it? I'd love to really know though. I guess they will dna your dog though I have no idea how accurate it is or how expensive.
Kristi, do you find Laurel's disposistion more chi like or not?

LOL Laurel's like a crotchety old lady, I don't find her temperament at all like the rest of my guys, ... she very possibly is from a brother/sister breeding and may not have all her marbles! Poor Laurel

Aww..poor girl. How old is she? She's not so old she should be crotchety is she? I guess Lucy has become even more chi like with the introduction of B. I know that sounds crazy but I swear she acted more like our lab mix when she was still alive. Now I think she sees how much laptime B gets and gets jealous cuz she's a lot more cuddly than she's been in the past. She also demands to get under covers now, just like B does. She never used to do that either. I don't know, maybe I treat them differently now that their are two small dogs in the house as opposed to Lucy and Tanner. How big is Laurel? Lucy is 13.8 lbs last time we were at the vet, but I think she has gained some weight recently. She looks good.

Laurel is 7--so, she isn't super old, but, I think all the extra weight she carried around for a long time took a tole on her body b'c she definitely has some arthritis. She is actually now under 10 lbs, which is crazy! At the vet she was 9.5 lbs when she got her HW test. All she wants to do is sleep in the same spot and bites if we try to move her :-( She does like going for walks w hubby so he makes sure to do that w her and she likes going for rides in the car so I usually take her with me, otherwise she'd just lay on the same darned pillow all day long getting stinky LOL. FWIW she is healthier than she's ever been in her life so she shouldn't be so cranky!

She and Bryco snuggle She has gotten better w/ the biting but was really bad at first. Its not a big deal but its frustrating. It doesn't really seem to be something that she controls or actively controls.
