I caught my precious Behr eating poo this evening....I had to get onto him...Dakota does it all the time...yuck...anyways....have any of you ever tried anything that works...that makes them stop doing that? I have had ppl suggest things that may work...but I am looking for something that does work. Attachments:

Bryco used to eat poop...just to be a shit, really. Just to get attention. I gave everyone a few spoonfuls of pineapple juice with their food and he stopped. I guess it makes the poo smell extra awful to them so they don't eat it. Either way, both of your dogs will need to have it as your poo eater probably doesn't care whose poo he is eating.

Marley was doing this for a while when I was feeding only Honest Kitchen. I really think diet has a lot to do with it because some foods don't fully digest & come out erm, tasting as good as when they went in. LOL We feed Honest Kitchen as apart of our rotation (for now--won't be buying any more after what we have is gone) but the poo doesn't have time to get nummy tasting enough for him I guess because he doesn't do it any more. The reason he did it before was I was feeding only that.
Pineapple juice works for some and there are other things you can use they sell but I really have no idea what does & doesn't work for additives.

You really cant know what works until you try it, pineapple juice works for a lot of dogs, but not all. Ive also heard meat tenderizing seasoning will work for some. My in laws have a dog who eats poop and they tried everything, including special things from the vet, but none worked and they just have to run out and scoop any poop to prevent him from eating it. Every dog is different! Leo eats poop, his own and others, and Miley sometimes eats it as well. I just try to keep the poop picked up in the yard, and discourage it when I see them eating it or going for it.

It's hard to keep the poo picked up after five puppers....what is bad...is I share my food spoon with Behr sometimes...not things that will hurt him....I know that is gross for most...but it didn't bother me...until I caught him, lol. I will try some of the suggestions...couldn't hurt.
