Louie is good with other dogs, especially those smaller of the same size as him so not sure he'd see her as a threat. I think he'd be alpha dog anyway as he was here first. He used to live with a rowdy jack russell fine.
God I really was over thinking, but I feel better now.
Like you said Lucy we are just going to see what happens and take each day as it comes.

Bitches are normally alpha over males and she's just recently been spayed but that shouldn't matter they sort it out between themselves.

You've been given good advice and I think you have a good plan in place waiting until after your move and then going to see her. I totally agree it's not a good idea to make a decision now with so much going on. And I totally understand your concerns overall. It's always a bit worrying adding a new one, but if Louie is your main concern, and it sounds like he gets along with other dogs fine, it shouldn't really be a problem. I'd worry more if Louie wasn't good with other dogs, but since he is, I bet he'd love having a playmate. I think it's lovely giving an adult dog a home too. Good luck with your decision. Bitches are normally alpha over males From my experience I have found this to be true in more cases than not.

I've decided I want her and shouldn't let stupid worries get in the way I do think louie would love a friend (even if he might hate her to begin with) He will have a friend to play with while im busy cleaning etc If she is still there when we move then it is fate she needs to be in our life
