Compared to that I barely paid anything for my girls, but they aren't registered, or bred to standard, or from a breeder. So I kinda screwed up on my research there. But they are my pets, so I am okay with how they are, and they are perfect for us..

Bella was $175 and Izzie was $100. I got Bella first, then their mom's owner's sister (who took care of the mom and puppies) took Izzie. Well she couldn't keep her, so 3 weeks later, I bought Izzie, for cheaper cuz they were in a hurry to find her a good home.

I paid $550. for Oakley and Trig, both are registered and papered, def purebred, but also def pet quality LOL. I paid $1000 for Bryco and Ivy and $900 for Leah lol. Can't say the # of dogs out there I have turned down though because they are $2000+. After going to Nationals this weekend I def am glad I didn't pay that for any of what these people have because its pretty crappy. Lots of pretty to look at dogs...til they stack up or start to move. Just the way it is, I guess...but I agree, the prices i have seen on mediocre and esp. crossbreed pups are ridiculous...just don't get it.

We paid less for two of our very well bred, KC reg bitches than someof the crosses go for, its crazy. Colour seems to be the big thing, theres a puppy farm locally and they advertise chocolates and merles for well over £2k, and seem to get buyers, its madness! I have had some crazy emails from people wanting to buy my Evie pup and I will admit, they could write a cheque for £20k and I still wouldnt let her go, no one could afford my Evie
