Getting ready to place my first Hare-Today order now that we have an extra freezer...YAY! I am trying to figure out how long 50 lbs of stuff should last my guys...
Laurel, 9.5 lbs, Usually gets around 5-6 ounces a day, we will say 5.5 ounces.
Trigger, 7 lbs, usually gets around 3.5 ounces a day...
Bryco, 4.25 lbs, 2.5 ounces a day...
Ivy, Puppy, 3.75 lbs, 6 ounces a day...
Oakley, 3.25 lbs, usually gets 2.5 ounces a day...
Leah, Puppy, 2.75 lbs, 2.5 ounces a day...
So total that's 22.5 ounces total. 50 lbs will have 800 ounces...meaning 50 lbs should last me about a month, give or take. LOL that seems like a lot more than I've been feeding, though...? I went and used a raw feeding calc to get those amounts.

That sounds about right Kristi. But be careful ordering...sometimes you can order 50lbs & have "ok" shipping but other times it'll be outrageous & if you take ONE five pound tub out it lowers shipping by $15! Sometimes I have to play around a bit because I refuse to pay $45 in shipping--so far I've not spend more than $30 in shipping from them.

I need to figure out what I want to get from there...It'd run me like $160 a month to feed my crew solely thru there...which is a lot. It costs me only like $60 a month if I feed solely Stella & Chewie's w bone-in meals.

Really?? For us it figures out just about the same price wise to feed H-T, S&C & ZP actually...even Embark HK figures out to be about the same. LOL I actually think S&C's is the most expensive if I was going to figure it down to the nitty gritty. Before I only used H-T for variety only & got chicken necks/backs from butchers in the area with the occasional cornish hen meal.
If you're particular about what you buy from H-T it doesn't figure out to be as expensive. For example...since you'll be getting your boney chicken (I'm guessing?) locally...you could get away with buying some of the lower priced things from H-T like pork/beef heart, beef tripe. They even have beef & pork trim which actually now that I look isn't as cheap as it used to be bummer. The heart has gone up in price too... That is what I was doing before & I bought the organ mixes so I could add organ in seperately. Now I tend to do just the grinds so it's less thinking on my part. LOL Beef, pork, chicken & turkey are the cheapest grinds they have but they do have certain protiens on sale I think monthly? They don't take a huge amount off of the sale items but every little bit helps.
Their prices have definitely gone up a lot in the past few months though which is a bummer. I did get one of the sampler packs a while back which was GREAT! I loved trying all the different poultry & fish--everyone tolerated it great which was a relief. The sampler packs are expensive but the variety was awesome. But being as the prices are high...that is why I started buying more S&C's because it was cheaper to get the variety that way than to buy the more unusual protien sources from H-T.
Anyway, I've rambled enough. Once you order you'll definitely have to let us know what you get! I only wish I lived close to H-T so we didn't have to pay the shipping fees--that would be so much more worth it. LOL

Love Hare Today!! Shipping absolutely sucks though! My last order I paid $64.11 for 19 pounds of meat. My shipping was $57.75! I have to pay for 2nd day air because I live in California and I want it to arrive frozen. Bummer, but they have a great variety of meats!
