WHY...? That's what I keep asking myself. Just as I (yet again!) think he's totally there and 100% housetrained, I find a few drips trickling down the side of my handbag on the floor! As if that wasn't bad enough, I pop in to the kitchen while he's running around outside, and come back in to the living room and find a #2 on the carpet just INSIDE the doggy door! Then he starts running around indoors with a small rock he's found outside and refuses to drop it, or come when called; and he's normally so obedient these days. I knew he still had his occasional 'marking days', which I put down to adolescence and sharing territory with a male cat who also marks very occasionally. But I thought he was 100% trained when it came to #2s! Any ideas why they suddenly have a 'naughty day'? The only clue I can find is in one Cesar Millan's books, where he says they can still show adolescent behaviour up to 2 or 3! (Aaargh!) Is it just that, or is he just going to be one of those dogs you hear about, who are never 100% trained?

Its because he's intact One of the reasons I wanted to get Gambit and Chaos 'done' before they got into the habit. Obviously I don't show or breed anyway. Kiki's breeder told me her boy does the same thing, on bags etc. Thats one of the things that would drive me nuts!

And I thought boys marking was bad enough!

Yup it did this was a full on pee all over the bed when she marks she squats peed and swivels round It depends on how full her bladder is! Daisy marks too she backs up to Walls and cocks her leg and she was spayed at 6 months

Well, I'd like to get around to showing him when I move, and possibly stud him if he's good enough and going to help the breed. So neutering isn't an option at the moment. I wonder if Chi boys are worse because they're so close to the floor? I've had boy dogs of other breeds previously, who haven't been neutered, and they haven't marked.

Which reminds me, you were going to shoot a quick vid of her doing that... any luck yet?
