Oh poor Laurel. I feel sorry for her even though she brings it on herself. I feel sorry for her too. I wish we could bring her but we genuinely can't figure out what to do w/ her when we go b'c she can be really destructive. And they are the only people that will watch her b'c she's destroyed things everywhere else she has stayed. You wouldn't think a 9/10 lb dog could cause problems but its like...impressive Still, I wish she didn't feel so bad right now. And she looks GIGANTIC. Can NOT be comfortable.

Haha aw poor Laurel. Yes! I always wish I could reason/explain things to the dogs, Miley especially. She is always getting into stuff, shes a fatty at heart if not in body lol. Hope she is feeling better soon. That reminds me of my friends lab/golden mix. She was taking him back up to school after a holiday and had him in her SUV along with like a 25 lb bag of food in the back. She stopped somewhere and left him in the car for ten minutes and when she came out he was in the back and had almost FINISHED THE BAG!!! Some dogs are just ridiculous about food. I think Miley thinks shes starving the way she scavenges.

I have one too - Rosie - she was our third chihuahua and when we brought her back from the breeders I had some RC out for the other two - she ate the lot and we thought OK forgot to ask the breeder when she last ate.......................but then it continued. She's not destructive or scavenging but once she starts to eat she doesn't stop!! We just have to keep an eye on her eating. We used to show her as a puppy but she just kept growing............she has a beautiful expression and nature and is very loving so she's just our Roly Poly Rosie now.

LOL yes its crazy how some dogs are over food! She was 21 lbs for those who don't know when I met my hubby and she is 9 now but it has made her destructive scavenging worse. When we moved last month we hadn't unpacked some boxes and went to work for the day and came back and she'd torn open 3 cardboard boxes in search of food and found some and scattered stuff everywhere and ahhhhh made the biggest mess. So if there are any boxes or non wood containers we have to have them out of her reach she will eat synthetic cabinets to get at food (we have child locks on everything b'c of her hahaha). Poor dear is still miserable and huge this Am.

And we return the favor we watch their two horrid big poodles and its always for weeks on end not jst a quick over-nighter. Big dogs are soooo much more work. Laurel you barely have to do anything, just DONT LET HER EAT TONS OF STUFF!

Ok I might be in the minority but I don't think Laurel is to blame, its the people who watched her. I don't know who it is and even though they are doing you a favour, they're the ones responsible for her being 'unwell' at the moment. I feel for her. She's a dog and she will just eat if she is allowed to. I have the same thing with my lot, mostly Chaos who gorged on the Orijen when I was out of the room for 5 mins and had a huge stomach for two days!

But shes bad bad bad about food. They don't care she is unwell. They just "watch" her or whatever, make sure she doesn't die. All of our good "watchers" won't watch her anymore b'c shes so awful to watch and destroys stuff looking for food. We try to warm people but it only gets so far. She also will poop out of spite if they don't give her what she wants. Well she will eat if shes not allowed to - she chewed thru a cabinet to get at food at Miles' old house. So...she has a problem lol. But still, we manage to keep her away from food and I don't think its too much to ask someone else to do the same? Esp for just 2 days lol.
