Oh poor Laurel...and poor you! I couldn't imagine having a dog that determined to find FOOD. I hope she's feeling better soon & doesn't take it out on you too much....

She just gave me the evil look initially shes over it now and back to begging ha ha ha. And yes it is exhausting. You know you can keep a normal chi off the table by pushing a chair in (we have heavy wood chairs)...not Laurel. She pushes the chair out with her body and is up on the table all the time. Its unbelieveable at first and then annoying. The good thing is we probably don't have mice b'c everything has to be so secure b'c of her. When we still fed kibble she chewed thru a plastic tub holding the kibble to get at it.

LOL Yeah...my issue is with my girls forgetting to push chairs in & leaving food on the table & Marley will get up but he'd never think to push the chairs out. haha Nor would he chew threw cabinets or a plastic tub! I'm glad she's over it though & is back to begging (I think LOL)...

Ok I might be in the minority but I don't think Laurel is to blame, its the people who watched her. I don't know who it is and even though they are doing you a favour, they're the ones responsible for her being 'unwell' at the moment. I feel for her. She's a dog and she will just eat if she is allowed to. I have the same thing with my lot, mostly Chaos who gorged on the Orijen when I was out of the room for 5 mins and had a huge stomach for two days! Oh no I 100% agree lol. But shes bad bad bad about food. They don't care she is unwell. They just "watch" her or whatever, make sure she doesn't die. All of our good "watchers" won't watch her anymore b'c shes so awful to watch and destroys stuff looking for food. We try to warm people but it only gets so far. She also will poop out of spite if they don't give her what she wants. Well she will eat if shes not allowed to - she chewed thru a cabinet to get at food at Miles' old house. So...she has a problem lol. But still, we manage to keep her away from food and I don't think its too much to ask someone else to do the same? Esp for just 2 days lol. I think if you agree to look after someones dog, you are taking on a big respsonsibility and treat it as such. If I were to look after someones dog I would have to follow whatever instructions were given, because what if she was allowed to do this and something happened (heaven forbid). I just think if you aren't going to do it properly, don't do it! But wow, she is a little madam lol. And I laughed so hard about her pooping out of spite, CHAOS DOES THAT TOO! I swear it!
