LOL ok so people always are saying "how many chis is too many" and "when did it become more difficult?" and "at what point do you feel it becomes more work?". I can pretty certainly say #6. We had 5 when we had Asia (the sweet darling black spotted on white girl I bought for show and breeder had me pet her out due to her bite going horribly off...sniff ), it was still smooth sailing. Then we got Leah and she just added this element of difficulty not existing before! It was like never enough hands or enough time... But then when we petted Asia out we were back down to 5...and it got easy again! I thought Leah might've been difficult but no, it was simply the total number. Well Asia's breeder replaced Asia w/ Ivy and by darn, it got harder again. I don't know what it is but I say if I ever have just pets my magic number will be 5!! Each individual dog always has its challenges for sure but I have definitely found that for whatever reason #6 seems to just add an element of challenge for us not existing before! They all get an equal level of care but you just notice it more, ya know? Anyway, thought I would answer that age old question he he.

Ha ha - I would say 10 is too many - but probs cos I'm at 9! Did have 10 a couple of times and even 12 when we had 5 pups but I think it was who we had at 10. I'm a lot calmer about them all nowadays but they each have their different natures and demands - all crashed out on the sofas at the mo' ..........so easy peasy.

Lol I think 10s bout my limit too -- but I mainly mean I noticed the difference in work load lol at #6. Like 5 was so easy I barely noticed they were there!

I'm at 5 atm (6 including our little guest) its ok we can handle it fine, chris does get annoyed sometimes with the separate feeding, going out for pee's and bed times, everything is like a military operation. I think my limit will be 8 but we will see haha I'm only allowed 3 in this house hehe

Dang, I have 2 and that is more than enough for me. They are so needy, lol. They follow me around everywhere, and are always sleeping on/by me. If I go to the bathroom they follow me, and Izzie looks at me and cries while I pee, and Bella tries to get up on me. I couldn't imagine walking more than 2 at a time either. They are more than enough for me.. lol.

Ooo, I agree Kristi. LOL I blame it on our last 2 being more difficult most of the time though. Maya especially since she was sort of a "rescue" not coming from the greatest situation and coming from being raised as an only dog. But before Maya...even with Marley it was easy. Maya TOTALLY throws the pack dynamics off though. Hate saying it but it is what it is....

That's good to know! I think having four is easy. We have a routine, and they're good dogs. No chewing furniture, shoes, etc... They don't have accidents in the house. The barking at the tiniest nose outside is annoying, but hey, no one is perfect. Haha! When I tell friends and family I want another they say I'm nuts. They think it's sooo much work, but it really isn't at all. My house is spotless & organized (pats on back so they think I spend hours cleaning because no one could possibly have a spotless house with four dogs!! Haha! Uh, four dogs is easy. People with a spotless house and four kids...that's impressive! Just wait until I have number five! Lol!! P
