Hi, Im Fliss and have joined to find out more about chihuahuas as I would like to eventually own one, but as I have never owned a dog I feel I have a lot of research to do first!!!  |

Hello Fliss and welcome to our forum! I think its great that you're taking your time and doing lots of research before you take on a Chi. There are so many people who don't and just jump straight in and the deep end and then realise the breed is not for them  Anyway, please feel free to ask as many questions as you like, we're all here to help |

Hi wellcome Fliss. It's great that you have joined, the more research you do, the better chihuahua you will likely end up with, and the right knowledge can save so much dissapointment, costs and heartbreak. There are a lot of bad chihuahua breeders in it for the money due to the breeds current popularity but once you know what to look for and how to separate the good breeders from the bad you can be on your way to finding the dog for you. I'm sure you already know this but it can't hurt for me to throw it in the convo- never buy from a pet shop. Secondly, never buy from a puppy farmer- there are lots of informative threads on here that should help educate about these and feel free to ask anything that crosses your mind!
