Hi all Reese had been so so so itchy that Ive never had a problem bathing him with the same shampoos that I use on the other pups (Canine Earth and Tropiclean usually). He has been on Stella and Chewys for about a month now though and has FINALLY stopped having dandruff, dry skin, and the itchies At least until I gave him a bath last week. We went to a state park and did a little swimming (well Leo and our friends labs swam, Miley and Reese waded a bit) so he needed a bath. I had to bathe everyone and take a shower myself so I didnt bother with fur butter or coconut oil for them as I normally would. Reese has been itching ever since. For who have chis with sensitive skin, what do you recommend? I know Kristi suggested any shampoos with oatmeal and I think another ingredient that I cant remember. Now that Reese is not always itchy, I can finally see that some things do trigger it! Thanks!

I'm not sure -- I know there is hot spot spray you can squirt him over with to settle the itchies, but, you might also try a bit of benadryl? if its allergy induced, which it may be, that could calm things down. Bryco and Ivy get it every day b'c they are allergic to SOMETHING outside. I use Pure Paws ultra reconstructing shampoo for everyone but its by no means natural, chemical free or to stop itching lol so that's probably not gonna help you. Pure Paws does have an Oatmeal shampoo as do a few other brands, some are even labled "medicated" to help w/ itchies, maybe get one or two and try them out?

Thanks Kristi! He was on benadryl and it helped a little, but he totally stopped itching after a few weeks on S&C and hadnt needed it since. Then I gave him a bath and he immediately started itching! I think both shampoos I regularly use are fairly mild, but he must need something formulated for sensitive skin. I will look into that hot spot spray. Im kicking myself that I didnt take the time to condition him, but I dont want to bathe him again and risk making it worse. Poor guy.

Yeah Feo has skin problems, I got some called "Coatex" and it is the aloe and oatmeal one. It does help abit, I try and leave it on him for a few minutes when I bath him. It isn't cheap unfortunately though. I wrote a review on it in the product review section if you want to know any more xxx
