Poor Goo-Ball! He was having such a hard time with his knees (Oona kept knocking him over and really hurt him). We started giving everyone ACV, glucosamine/condritin/msm, and bovine colostrum every AM and he has come full circle! Back to running around and being a pain in the ass. No pain! Amazing. They think it's a treat.

That is awesome all of those things are helping! Question -- what does the bovine colostrum do, and how much ACV do you give?

Is that like early cow milk? But the first bit produced just before and soon after giving birth? Thats what it is for humans lol.
That is such great news though!

Thanks Kristi Bovine colostrum is actually in there for Betty more than Goo, it's to help with her itchies (which I assume are a low-grade allergic reaction to something). Seems to help him too though, or atleast it doesn't HURT him. We give a splash of ACV in the AM mix (yeah, real specific LOL), and they have a cap full in each water bowl (so it's rather strong, as their water bowl is tiny). That's brilliant Kelly What is bovine colostrum? Some sort of milk? www.firstmilking.com/colostrum%20for%20pets.htm"Bovine colostrum works for all mammals including dogs, cats, and horses. It enhances energy, strength, immunity, hair quality, endurance, freedom of movement, tissue repair, and overall body function." There's plenty more out there, but that was the first site I read. Ona raw yahoo board, a lot of people in Toronto (big city next over) are using it to help dogs with allergies and rescue dogs they get in. Apparently it can also be used for puppies (that are not thriving). Other colostrums can be used, I know a few people use goat colostrum, I think the bovine is just more readily available. It apparently helps people too, but at the prices they charge, I'm giving it all to the dogs. Is that like early cow milk? But the first bit produced just before and soon after giving birth? I've never heard of it before but I will definitely be doing a bit more research in to this. It sounds very interesting!

I may give the apple cider vinegar a try too...not sure what mine will think but it sounds like the amount necessary to be effective is pretty minimal?
