Paula, its so bad! Kiki is the BIGGEST pig ever lol. I think its just because she's so active? I said to Tracy, Kiki is the female version of Brody... but atleast Brody naps! lol You can really feel all of her bones though I'm scared people will think I don't feed them and report me!

If you can feel every rib easily...I'd try to get a couple oz on them. I know there is a fine line with the little ones. Marley recently lost 4oz (trying out feeding just S&C's so I'm adjusting individual amounts) & he went from perfect to me being able to feel every rib easily. Getting 4oz on him will put a tiny bit of padding over his ribs. If Bryco was chunky at 4.5lbs I'd say you're right on at getting him to 4lbs 4oz.

I didn't think he was chunky at 4.5 -- I thought he was perfect. BUT, a judge said he was a "chunky little fella" while he was being examined on the table ( ) and so I was like dang, better get a few oz off him! I had him on a puppy milk supplement so I cut that out and the 8 oz dropped off him like it was never there then I looked at him and was like wow, you look really skinny you little terd... He's about in his adult body now, coming up on 16 months so I just want to make sure he's at the right weight...I always am concerned about their little joints and so much prefer them on the thinner to the thicker side, but also don't want them TOO thin! I have a much harder time telling on the LC.

I hear you, Lucy. I worry people will judge me on Roo too as she is very thin, I can feel her ribs easily. No matter how much she eats, she doesn't gain though, just stays the same. I added in even more ziwi last week and still nothing. She just seems to burn it all off. My vet thinks she is fine, just a natural skinny bean, but I really think she is too thin.

Paula what about giving her some scrambled egg and cottage cheese w/ her meals? I have always found that real fresh foods tend to put weight on them for whatever reason.

If you don't think he was chunky...maybe the judge was being sarcastic? I'm sure he's probably used to seeing more full (erm, fat haha) body conditions since most people whether they know it or not, have over weight dogs to begin with. Maybe he just had a dry sense of humor so it came out like he was serious? I dunno--just a thought...
