Anybody tried acupuncture for doggies ? just wondering if it works ? so expensive don't want to waste my money.

Not personally but I've read great things about it! There's a place in Sevenoaks that does is they have a holistic practice there! Is it for lilly, dottie or simba?? And can I request some new pics please Also I'd your dogs are insured it may come User complimentary therapies

It's for Simba's legs ,as he's getting stiff(LEGS that is ) There's a vet in beaconsfield 5mins away from me that dose it but it's very expensive. May help Dotties L/P as well.Have pics on camera need Hubby to download some(lazy git )

Are u giving glucosamine and stuff?? Please don't Shoot me but unless it's proven to work Miracles I prob wouldn't put him Through it as his age

Yes he has it and vitamins just wondered if anybody else has had the acupuncture and it does work,don't want to spend the money if it's not worth it !They say it calms them down and a lot go to sleep while they stick the needles in

I don't know if acupuncture is the same for dogs as ppl, but I have had a lot of it myself over the years and there is a BIG difference in the effectiveness of it, according to which practitioner you use. There are plenty who think they just have to do a few weeks study and then they know it all (wrong!). If the acupuncturists who work with dogs are the same, then be careful before going ahead so you don't waste your money Michele. Personally, I'd defo want a personal recommendation and I also agree with Sarah about the glucosamine (helped one of my cats who had arthritis).
