We won't drop people who post Therese just what we would call lurkers there are a lot of people who joined when we first launched who never posted and then there are those who joined, log in regularly but don't post!! Whilst we are pleased people are using the site and hopefully learning we would prefer people to say hello

Oh no, Therese, we aren't talking about our more active members. We just had a few people who had joined and not posted, even once as an introduction. We're not saying our members HAVE to be active, just that it would be nice to know who everyone is. We hope that for the people who aren't as confident to jump right in and post, that three months is a good amount of time without feeling pressured to post straight away. If you need to take a break or get busy, there's no need to worry that your account will disappear

Even when I take a break, or get busy, I don't see myself being gone 3 months. Good to know you will check in before dropping someone Well we know who you are Therese so you won't get the boot! Its more like, people who anonymously join, we don't know who they are, and they don't post, that the rule is more for. We do have "private" sections of the board for members only and those members we'd liket o know who they are out of respect for the active population...

I agree with the other comments that it's an excellent idea Lucy.
I have to admit one thing that bugs me on forums is when someone new joins and puts up just one post, usually asking a question. Loads of ppl welcome that person and try and help them, then they don't even bother to respond again, so no-one even gets to hear the end of the story. Grrr!
Slight sidetrack there... back to zero posters... I had someone wanting to join my fb, and I assumed it was someone I'd 'chatted with' on here, but when I checked the member list later, she'd never even posted once. She's not even on the list anymore, as far as I can see, so I guess she just changed her mind. But she's still on a few of our fb accounts, I've noticed, and as she has about 1650 fb 'friends' I think she might just have been a 'chihuahua ppl' collector, lol!
Anyway, gr8 work as ever, Lucy! ;D

I've stopped accepting the random adds on facebook it was getting ridiculous!! Now it either needs to be a breeder I've heard of or someone from here who posts or nooo thank you.
