When we created the forum, we didn't want to enforce any sort of time limit on people posting, whilst at the same time wanting our members to feel comfortable contributing to the private sections e.g sharing pictures etc. where only registered people can view.
We also don't want to make the forum totally private as we are always encouraging new members to join and see what a friendly bunch we are
The more members me have, the more people contributing = more shared knowledge and of course, everyones favourite, more Chihuahua pictures!
This forum is meant to be a happy place for people to talk and share and learn. Whilst we know some people are shy and prefer just to read, we would prefer that they introduce themselves. We are trying to find a happy medium, but as you can appreciate, its hard to balance the two.
We have therefore decided that if we have members joining and not posting within 3 months of their registration date, their accounts will be disabled. As this is a new rule all members who have already been registered for 3 months but have not posted, will be given a warning so they have time to post. If they still have not introduced themselves by Friday 24th June, we will be disabling their accounts.
As always, we appreciate hearing any suggestions and feedback from our members and encourage you all to do so. You can always private message a member of staff if you prefer.
