Ok, well, it is probably too soon to really say conclusively, but, I've been bathing Bryco every 3-5 days and he has more length on his coat coming in and faster than I've ever seen on him before, and it's thicker. Could just be his age as he's coming up on 16 months, and his lines start getting coat from 18 months to 3 years (ugh) but I don't think so. Leah's been getting bathed about the same frequency and her fur has been coming in very thick too. Been conditioning too and keeping them up on oil supplements, but I find it very interesting! I had heard this recommendation so many times at shows for Bryco I decided to try it, despite it seeming really counter intuitive. All I can think is the extra stimulation to his skin is causing dead fur to fall out and the stuff coming in his longer and healthier?
Its near impossible to take pictures that show it as white fur all blends in, but he basically had puppy fur before, super short and downy like baby chick butt fluff, and now it feels like adult hair/fur.
I thought it would dry his skin out and really I haven't seen that at all I let the conditioner sit for a good 5-10 minutes and really massage it in. I let him air dry and then when he's dry brush him out and spray in leave-in coat conditioners and protectants. He's also whiter than ever lol...so I can't complain. Been doing this about a month now and so far I am happy except giving baths that often sucks!

It started sorta by accident, hes getting so dirty with being able to be in the yard so much its almost necessary, and I almost immediately started noticing the growth and was like... llol. It will take some time but I think he will get some coat...his breeder swears it and says I will feel stupid for doubting it but we'll see.

Idk, ever since I stopped giving him THK he hasn't itched at all thank goodness! I have to give him benadryl right now in the morning though because his face swells up outside from all the pollen and stuff right now, poor baby boy. Can you get some Oatmeal or Hot Spot spray for her and brush it through her coat a few times a week?

Oatmeal spray? Like conditioner? I have leave in conditioner I can use didn't think it would help but it's driving me mental I debated piraton just to see if it was from pollen as our pollen count is super high ATM! Daisy isn't itching though so god knows whether it's allergies or because she *whispers* blowing her coat

Well sometimes I get itchy if my skin is dry...usually if one of mine is itchy that seems to be the cause...I have the pure paws oatmeal and aloe spray and it seems to help them not be itchy. So its just a thought but maybe it will help. If Lotus is blowing her coat you should bathe her more frequently anyway to expedite the process and get the dead hair out so new can grow in!!

She hates baths lol Her face kills me I will get Lucy to video the trauma before our next show because she is so funny I need a bath mat so she doesn't break er legs trying to escape bahhshahs
Well I'm using a zoom groom seems to get the loose hair out can't work out if it's seasonal or because of her hormones? It's quite early for her to blow her coat still and she's not totally shrunk back down below yet although it's more of a normal colour so who knows?
Oatmeal and aloe :s link please not sure if I've seen anything like that here!
