Does anyone use it? I was looking at it here: www.revivalanimal.com/store/p/6682-Glyco-Flex.aspxWhat do you all think of the ingredients? Stage III: Glucosamine HCl, Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Perna Canaliculus (GlycOmega brand Green Lipped Mussel), N,N-Dimethylglycine HCl (DMG), dl-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Calcium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Manganese, Grape Seed Extract, L-Glutathione, Selenium, brewers yeast, cellulose, dicalcium phosphate, natural imitation roast chicken flavor, silicon dioxide, stearic acid.

I think it looks ok Paula. I haven't ever given it, but it's pretty highly rated by those who have used it.
I do like the first 3 ingredients, especially the green lipped mussel which is an ingredient in ZiwiPeak that I think is excellent.
Some dogs show a sensitivity to soy, which is where the vitamin E is derived from. It can cause itching IN SOME DOGS. Some dogs do fine with it. Brody isn't sensitive to vitamin E at all and I actually use it a couple times a week when I give salmon oil. But just something to keep in mind if you use a product that contains vit E.
Some people wouldn't like the brewers yeast either, but again - I think it's a case of knowing your dog. Some dogs won't have a problem with it at all.
I would say to try it out and see what you think and how it compares the the ML and Nupro.

Thanks so much for your thoughts, Tracy. A bit worried about the soy as both Pip and Roo (especially Pip) seem to have a lot of allergeries/ itching issues which I have well under control now so hmm... Right now I'm using Cosequin for their glucosamine. I was just wondering if this might be better..

Paula what about just going to your local grocery store or drugstore and buying the human grade glucosamine? It's cheaper and there aren't any fillers. I get ours from Wal*Greens and it comes in little capsules that I just pop open and put on their food. It's pretty easy to figure out comparative dosage to a product like GlycoFlex III and the dogs don't even know it's in their food. I do 1/2 a capsule 2x a day but Laurel gets a full capsule in the morning. Its been so long since I figured out dosage but that seems to work pretty well for my guys. I get it when they have the buy one get one free sale, so $20 of glucosamine lasts my crew for quite a long time. We did have itching issues w/ the Glycoflex III and actually have a huge unused bag of it. It was just Bryco that got itchy, but I'm not sure how 'fresh' it is anymore as it's sat for probably at least half a year or I'd offer to send you some. I should give it to Laurel really, b'c she dd fine w/ it, so I don't waste it lol. Mine did NOT like the taste of it either FWIW, they didnt' like Hylox either...brats.

Thanks for your reply, Kristi. The fact that they made yours itch is enough to put me off trying them, so they're off my list now. I actually now remember you once telling me this about the itching, but I had forgotten it was Glyco Flex.
I think I'll give the human grade a try. The reason I haven't is because I'm a little weird about dosage amounts and worry I'm giving too much or something like that. I don't know why they always have to put all those crappy fillers in doggy things. Drives me nuts.

Just look at the Hylox dosage for your guys, then figure out what the equivalent would be for the human grade stuff. I can help you if you want once you find whatever you want to use.
Yep, lol, I think it was on one of Val's threads a long time ago where I said my guys were having issues w/ it. In theory the ingredients look fine but for whatever reason Bryco/Oakley didn't tolerate it well.
