Sorry I've only ever had the sample packs but hopefully someone will come along and help! I think some people re-hydrate the pieces with water? Also, I think you could up the amount if you felt like he was losing weight?

I'm not sure we're a good test case as Alfie doesn't seem to gain weight at all on Ziwipeak - but just for reference he is 4lbs 11oz and gets about 30g a day spread between 2 meals, I've tried upping the amount (because he doesn't gain any weight on it) but he doesn't seem to want any more than that and will just leave some if given too much.

It does not look like much but it is a calorie dense food so he will be fine. I agree and do add some warm water. Heather and Kristi told me that it would help them feel more satisfied and it does work. It will not really "absorb" into the water at all in the dish like kibble, just so you know what you will see. Mine lap up the water while eating the squares.
My brochure says that a 6.5 lb./3kg dog would get one scoop per day. So, I'd say that your baby would get about 3/4 scoop per day divided up by how many times a day you feed. Of course, if your baby was a puppy, you would double that amount.
My girls are 3.5 lbs./1.6kgs and get between 1/3 to 1/2 scoop 2x a day. My skinnier one gets a few extra pieces. That is a bit of an issue because she is also my slower eater.
I'd also go by his body. If he is getting chubby, I'd cut back some squares. Too skinny, I'd add some.

Thanks for the replies. I think maybe I will start with 20g a day and see how he does, and i'll add a bit of warm water. Hes at a good weight now hes not easy to get weight on but he had started losing some recently because he wasn't eating. He seems to think the ziwipeak is treats as he has been taking a piece at a time and carrying it off to his bed bless him
Edited to say just found the ziwipeak leaflet and it says a 5kg/11lb dog would get 1 scoop a day, hmm why is it different to what yours says

I'm feeding my three on Ziwi and was wondering if I can add the odd raw meal or would I be unbalancing the Ziwi? One is very hard to get weight on so I was thinking of small meals of green tripe, I know it stinks but hubby could cope with that but not something raw like duck necks though. I dont want to give them the runs so any ideas please ?
