Oh how awful So sorry you all had to go through that! As far as the nail grinder goes, I know Daisy is older than Kiki but I don't ever think its too late. Kiki was nearly two when I started using one and I have to agree, its the best thing I ever did. I HATED clipping their nails, kiki would fuss and fight so much that it would take ages to do and I still couldn't get enough off. Also, the grinder seems to shrink the quick back a bit so they can go shorter which means no tapping noise on the floor lol. Chaos is bad with having it done (well, only when I do it, he seems ok with Sarah lol) to the point of he screams and goes nuts but I'm building him up to it so try and do it really quickly a few times a week. I also just put the tool on and let it make the noise and let him feel the vibration from it on his paw so it isn't such a shock and it does calm him down somewhat.

I might look into it then and see how i go. I also thought that if the dogs go on a groomers table they are attached by their collars to a leash, not a choke thing round their neck, am i right? The groomer in Glasgow just had me hold the dogs while she clipped their nails and there was never any problems. That was in an actual grooming salon not a house, although i know a lot of people have one set up in their homes these days but that just put me right off! Luckily Darla is such a calm wee girl and didnt even make a sound when she was cut. If that had been Dillon we would have heard him for sure! lol Anyway i am just glad that it's over now. I am going to see if that idiot has a feedback section on her website so i can let her know how bad that was for me and my dogs! God help any others she gets in! Thank goodness i gave them their baths yesterday and didnt wait to get her to do that too cause i would have prob been asked to leave them and then god knows what would have happened! Nightmare!

I don't think daisy is too old u just be firm it takes me ages to do lotus and she gets told No a lot lol and she pants and wriggles but I do it when I'm not in a rush. My daisy just sits there and doesn't care and zooms around after!! It would help I think if Jamie could hold them But then Lucy and I hold ours ourself it just takes more working up to it

Oh Terri, I'm sorry you and the pups had such a horrible experience! I'm so angry just thinking about it, what is wrong with some people? I use a grinder on Pip and Roo's nails and agree with the others, it's so much easier. I have a short video on here somewhere of me doing Roo's nails and I know Kristi did one as well. Let us know how it goes if you decide to give it a try. Good luck. x

how horrible! Poor pups..and you too! she probably put stiptic (sp?) powder on her toe and then put it on her pad...what an idiot..that is NOT for the skin and it burns like a mother if used there. I use a groomer too for their nails, but man I've never had an experience anything like that. Sorry you all had to go through it xx

what an awful experience my groomers sometimes clip onto their collars the lead that hangs from the arm of the table but when i first started taking them they used to hold them and do their nails and sometimes still do if they are busy
