After reading the vet visits thread i was just wondering who you all use for your insurance, atm i have jake & daisy insured with direct line on 12 months cover for £18 a month and heidis insurance with m&s (they want an extra £3 a month) has just ran out so i need to decide whether to add her to direct line or if there are any better ones out there. I notice pets at home do pet insurance but its fairly new so not sure about it yet. I just did a quote for kennel club but its like saying £23 a month for jake :/

I wonder why Jakes was so expensive with KC. I might just keep them with direct line, i need to take out the lifetime cover though

It is in most cases cheaper to insure a crossbreed than a pedigree dog. So putting chihuahua cross on the form instead of plain chihuahua and no other changes makes it cheaper. I wonder if I should just put Eva down as chihuahua cross, how are they going to know or prove it really?

Mine is with Sainsbury's. I did a fair bit of shopping around before I chose them. £13 a month covers for up to £7,500 a year, plus it covers conditions for life-time rather than just for a year as some do. I have to pay £75 excess, I was shocked that alot of companies wanted you to pay the first 10% or so of the bill and they would pay the rest, 10% is fine on a £200 bill, but for a £4,000 bill you'd be really feeling it! I really recommend reading all the T&C's before taking cover out with anyone, on some the price looks good but when you read the small-print you realise that there's all sorts of conditions and loop-holes attached to it.
