Just let the dogs out before bed and chris was ironing, when baby came in he said what's baby doing and she's was dragging her face on the rug, I picked her up and all her eye is swollen, so I rinsed it with saline and its getting puffier and puffier, I called my mum and she said walk salt water but that's doing nothing too. She's made her 'eye brow' bleed too and she's crying too which is very unlike her, chris is still bathing her eye. I dunno if I'm being dramatic? Shall I call the vet? I took perry to the vet yesterday and got laughed at lol so they think I'm a drama queen atm

I personally would call them and explain and see if they say to bring her in or not. Especially if it continues to puff up! But I'm sure there are others who have home remedies to try first!

Oh no do you have an e collar or comething to stop her irritating it more trying to itch it in the meantime? Have you tried lifting her eyelids to check there is nothing in there? Feo has got small sticky seed things in his eye after running through long grass and bushes. Make sure any eye stuff you put in her eye is just saline not the stuff that says multipurpose drops\ solution, they have fungicides in that will irritate it more (I learned the hard way hope it gets sorted out soon xxx

I have tried to have a look in it but its all swollen, if I open her eye its all the red inside of her eyelid that I can see, I hoping the piriton will bring the swelling down over night, nope I don't have a collar (going to have to invest in one!) but she's stopped trying to itch it. I had some frozen peas on it but that was upsetting her so stopped didn't want to stress her out. She's in bed with us so we can keep a eye on her tonight. If its not a better in the morning we will go to the vets I hate my vet. Spent 50quid on shampoo for perry yesterday because he is scratching they said that's just him blowing his winter coat he looks like a smooth coat!

Sounds like it needs to be flushed out good. She must have gotten something in it while outside that is really really bothering her. Hopefully she hasn't scratched her eye by all the rubbing. Poor thing.... Good luck & definitely let us know how you make out with her!

I have no idea -- although it kind of sounds like maybe an insect bite near her eye? Let us know what the vet says in the morning..fingers crossed it looks better by then, though.
