Bella is sick.. :(

She had her raw chicken wing meal this morning, and about an hour later threw up EVERYTHING. It was a lot, like 2 piles that together equaled the size of my fist or more. She will drink on her own, but she is not eating anything. Not even boiled chicken or baby food, and she is my pig! She usually will eat anything I'm willing to give her. She drank some water, and I also syringed her some, and she threw up a little bit of it.

I don't know what is wrong with her.. A week ago today, I gave her a little bit of Salmon. It was cooked though, and I know it is raw that is what can be poisonous, and I didn't know til afterwards. But it's still freaking me out. She has normal poops, and temp is 99.6. She has been acting totally normal up until she threw up. Now she won't play, lick (when normally she's a big licker), or walk around, or get up if I get up, which she normally does. She'll wag her tail if we come up to her, and if Izzie starts barking at something she'll bring her head up and kinda growl/bark. She is not lethargic... but laying down and sleeping if we let her, which we are.

She is not a big chewer when it comes to raw meals, she does chew, but she swallows some bigger chunks too. So I could understand if she threw up her raw meal cuz she had some chunks she knew she couldn't take.. BUT she should be back to normal now right?

You all understand how scary and worrying is it when our furbabies are sick. I am so worried about her! Help me!

I wouldn't worry about salmon.

Has she got to anything else?? She may just br under the weather if she's still like it tomorrow off her food etc j would take her to the vet. Don't feed her again today give her tummy a rest

I can't think of anything else that she's gotten into. You never really know though. We went to the park and a little bit of a hike yesterday to a river. She didn't swim or anything, but her and Izzie were running around like crazy. IAnd I don't see any bug bites or anything on her.

I won't feed her today. Hopefully she will start perking up soon..

She threw up a pile as big as your fist!? How did she get that much food in her belly if all she ate was a chicken wing? She didn't eat the whole wing did she? Brody just gets 1/3 of the wing, or a section. NOT the whole wing. They are bony and fatty with very little meat. I don't usually recommend them for that reason.

I would say that if she ate a whole chicken wing, she was absolutely GORGED and had to throw up! Thank goodness!

I would rest her tummy until tomorrow and then start over with something much much smaller.

Are you feeding raw now? Or just occasionally? If you are looking for dental health benefits, I'd do a section of a wing or let her chew on a pork rib. You can even do the beef soup bones if she's not a vigorous chewer. (They can crack teeth on power chewers).

When you were out yesterday, did she drink any of the lake water? If so, it can be FULL of bacteria. Giardia, etc. So consider that also. I don't think her meal of cooked salmon a week ago had anything at all to do with this episode.

Yeah, I just give them a whole chicken wing every 3 or so days for their teeth and stuff. We've been doing this for awhile now, she always has a whole one, and never has any issues. Izzie only ever eats like 1/2 of hers if we're lucky. Bella's body condition is perfect right now, so I just give her a whole one. If that changed, I would monitor and cut it done much more. I hate just cutting part of it, cuz certain parts have like all bone, and others have a ton of meat. So I think as a whole it's a lil more balanced.

I do think she snagged a piece of Izzie's.. so that may have just overdone it. She's such a lil pig and so quick..

She is acting 100% now, just extra clingy. Not sure what her deal was. She didn't even go in the river water, so she didn't ingest any. But she seems to be all better now... thank goodness

I bet she just ate too much and had a tummy ache. So she puked. Then she felt better.

Yeah, probably, I don't know why it took her so long to feel better after she threw up, it was a good 2 hours before she started being herself. Should I still not feed her anything today? Not even boiled chicken or baby food or anything? I think she would eat it now..
