So I'm on a group on fb and someone just queried about harnesses as thy had been told by two diff people that they pull shoulders out. I've never heard this but thinking about it of a dog pulls a lot I can see it could happen same way as trachea problems with collars. I walk on both harnesses and collars myself but just wondered what peoples views were

I could maybe see that with a really big strong dog, but I can't imagine it could happen with a tiny little dog?

Guess it depends on how much they pull too? I'd still think there would be less issues walking w/a harness as necks are much more sensitive. I walk mostly w/a harness but also do a lead...especially if they're training for show. I don't think I've walked Evie w/a harness yet? haha

I think it would have to be an ill fitting harness to pull a shoulder out and a really strong puller! I like the vest harnesses. I can't imagine how that would injure a dog, no matter how hard they pulled.

I just find it interesting. I walk on both but don't use harnesses as much for the show dogs as pups
