Kristi, there was never an infestion, both times its been from when we get home from a walk and I've noticed one that has hopped on for a free ride.
We live by a canal so plenty of little nasties about! I was frontlining at the time so I'm sure if it had bitten her, it probably would've died anyway but because she's white, I managed to see it and grab it!
With Rogue, she had been laying out in the grass. Her coat is pretty bad at the moment, she's very bald and I have a habbit of looking through it when I'm stroking her and I saw one so I grabbed it lol. They've now had advocate (they were due anyway) but I never saw anything else on anyone thankfully!

I've started a weeks course of diatomaceous earth for the dogs

Ive dusted the garden too and wow the difference in those nasty little fly bug things that get in your eyes is amazing and slugs to all disappeared woo wooo!

So yes I'm doing a weeks course as a worming treatment they don't have worms but figured the week wouldn't hurt them.

Really relieved I don't have to use pesticides anymore as lung worm preventative it scares the life out f me!

This is a wonderful thread and something I am definitely going to try.

We haven't had fleas here but my collie came back from a stay at my sisters with fleas (she has later admitted to a pretty big infestation!) and I treated everyone with frontline except Pixel who had just had her kidney scare. I have today done Pixel and everyone again but would prefer not to use frontline. I didnt have a flea problem here before and dont anticipate it again but that stuff sounds excellent.

Where was the best supplier in the end?

eBay it was the cheapest make sure it's food grade though.

I'm giving for 30 days to make sure they are worm free scared to take myself as it looks gross mixed in water
