Hi Just to follow up on Jeanie and the melenijutus, I went see her today she wouldnt eat no even from me she was too weak x ... She looked terrible was crying on her side in pain !! Very heart breaking !! To see her like it ! They have started steroids today they are hoping to see improvement tomorrow . They don't know if she has brain damage yet as her tough stays stuck out ! I dont think things look good she looked very very list-full and very skinny and in alot of pain xxx I'm not sure what the outcome will be she is so very small ect... It's alot to go through and if she does pull through she has got 60% chance of relapse which is most Lilkly the end x also we have discussed that if she has brain damage we will not go ahead with further treatment as we feel we couldn't give her the care as she would need alot more looking after as she would be incontinent may get run over here with the traffic that comes upthe farm ect ... XxxX but she is proving to be a fighter we hoping she responds to the steroids ! So light a candle for her as we have

Omg I am so sorry this is just terrible do they know what caused it? Is it bacterial or viral??? Sorry for all the questions. How much does she weigh she looked tiny when I saw her Are they giving her something to eat by tube or anyhig coz she needs something gosh I feel so sad for you. Her Tongue hanging out would make me think a stroke? Or as you said some form of brain damage. She's in our thoughts and please let us know if there I'd anything we can do!! Can you find a canine neurologist! I know it's a lot of money but they really know their stuff!! Xxxx

Thinking of you and Jeannie x
I agree, if you possibly can afford it, is he insured? Then get her a referral to a vet specialising in neurology.
Please don't give up and try and stay positive, hard though it is, it is possible she will recover given care and time. Until the antibiotics and steroids really kick in, it will be impossible to say what if any level of disability she will have, if indeed any.
If she has quality of life, but you will not be able to give her the level of care she needs, please consider rescue. There are people who are able to take on special needs dogs, so this could be an option.
I'll keep you both in my prayers.
x

Such sad news to hear little Jeanie is going through this. And it must be so hard for you too, to have to just sit back and wait, and hope that she gets better soon. Anyway, just to let you know that I'm another one here thinking of you both and sending wishes for her full and speedy recovery...
