I just bought some Fromm's Duck and Sweet Potato kibble. It won't be here for another week, but I really need a kibble. Right now they do eat raw a couple days a week, as well as The Honest Kitchen with some extra raw ground meat mixed in, or Ziwi. But THK mixed with raw is a lot of work sometimes, so I plan on doing kibble for the morning meal, and THK w/raw for the evening meal.

Make sure you have a good 12 hour break between thetwo as they digest at different rate and can give upset tummies  Terri dilly dogs coat really does look good!! |

I've been given some samples of Acana as was told it would probably suit my dogs better than Orijen (not sure why) well fussy Jake has eaten it and miss eat everything Heidi has turned her nose up at it :/ not really sure what to do now though as i think they have short dates on Acana and Jake will take 4/5 months to get through a 2.5kg bag on his own! Could i feed ziwipeak tinned stuff with kibble?

Nope don't mix it together they digest at different rates you could do one meal of kibble one of ziwi! If Heidi eats eerytjinf and turns her nose up take it away and don't give her anything to her next meal she should be hungry by then and eat it

How long does the ziwipeak last after being opened?
I may do that then, one feed of ziwi in the morning and acana or orijen in the evening. I wish i could try them on raw again but found it way too confusing

Read tracys thread in the raw section you could also try pre mades.
I use ziwi on occasions and a can lasts my two about 8-10 meals I suppose I give a tablespoon each and freeze it so it's not open for long

I just had a look at that thread, still a bit confused though with all these different meats and stuff people are feeding incase i give the wrong stuff and how much i would give them. Our local butcher is probably about 15 minutes away so i would need to go see if they will help out and we've got a freezer in the garage
