Beet pulp is from sugar beet. I believe a by'product of the sugar industry which has very little sugar left in it by then. Ive fed it to horses for years as its widely used as a part of their diet. I could'nt believe i when I first saw it listed as ingredients in dog food. I think it must be used as a cheap filler.

Now i'm not on my phone the turkey one Turkey meal, pea starch, potato granules, tomato pomace, whole linseed, turkey fat, turkey gravy, peas, alfalfa, carrot, natural seaweed, chicory pulp, sodium chloride, calcium carbonate, D,L-methionine, lysine hydrochloride, threonine, glucosamine (275mg/ kg added), chondroitin (225mg/kg added). Contains: Min. 26% turkey, min. 26% vegetables, min 0.3% JW+ No beet pulp Which is why I chose it over the Lamb one And on beet pulp quoted from Dog food analysis from the jwb lamb cereal free... "Beet pulp is further filler and a controversial ingredient – it is a by-product, being dried residue from sugar beets which has been cleaned and extracted in the process of manufacturing sugar. It is a controversial ingredient in dog food, claimed by some manufacturers to be a good source of fibre, and derided by others as an ingredient added to slow down the transition of rancid animal fats and causing stress to kidney and liver in the process. We note that beet pulp is an ingredient that commonly causes problems for dogs, including allergies and ear infections, and prefer not to see it used in dog food"
