Hmm, I just worry about scented stuff making his skin worse, I use a colorless, odorless hypoallergenic shampoo on him now plus coconut oil. Hes noticeably better about itching for like a day, but then hes back to scratchin Do any of yours have sensitive skin? Which one of your guys has the skin issues Katy? Feo has v bad skin, his sides were bald for over a year turned out to be allergy to Fish (amonsgt a few other less serious allergy). Have you trued cutting things out of his diet?? xx Im sorry Hollie I missed this earlier somehow. Reese has had skin itchies for as long as I can remember. First I thought maybe grains, eliminated those, then poultry, cut that out, then he was on Orijen 6 fish, then Orijen Red meat. Now he eats Stella and Chewys, either the lamb or the beef, and gets only 100% salmon or 100% beef treats. Ive been buying chewies that specifically say hypoallergenic/good for dogs with allergies too. At the vets suggestion we were giving him kiddie benadryl several times a day, but that didnt seem to do much either. He goes through cycles where its a little better, and sometimes its worse and his skin starts looking dull around his haunches (seems to be his itchiest spot) and he even will get dandruff and flaky skin. Never as bad as Feo with losing hair though thank goodness! At this point Ive almost concluded it must be environmental? Like allergies to pollen etc which would explain why it will get better and worse without a change in diet. Did you get the bloodwork done for Feo to test allergies? Ive been thinking of doing it for Reese, although Ive heard its not completely accurate and Im not sure whether they test only food allergies or run it for environmenal issues as well.

I looked for this product but couldn't find it. HOWEVER.... I did find the Queen Helene cholesterol hot oil treatment! Not the placenta, just the cholesterol. Yuck, where do they come up with those disgusting names! LOL! Anyway.... tried it on Brody this morning. I thought it would be really greasy, but it actually kind of suds up a little and rinses off very well. I left it on about 10 minutes while he was wrapped up in a warm towel. I must say... he seems even shinier than before! And he was pretty shiny before! It makes him feel really slick and nice to the touch. Not too soft, there is still a little texture there if that makes sense on a smooth coat. But overall I thought it was a great conditioning treatment! Not one speck of dandruff either (which sometimes can happen if the product doesn't rinse all the way out). So if you can't find the PLACENTA, try the cholesterol formula! It smells delicious too. A very clean, light smell.
