Queen Helene Placenta Hot Oil Treatment - Review
One of the worst things about showing as often as I do is that my dogs get a LOT of baths. I let them be dogs when they aren't at shows and they get, well, filthy. So it's pretty taxing on a coat, Leah probably has had 30 baths over the last 4 months!!
That said, MANY of us have pets that have dry coats or dry skin and I think this product is applicable in that realm as well.
I was at a show recently talking to a Cavalier lady and her dog's coats just were fantastic, they all shone in the sun like I really haven't seen except in photo shopped pictures. I asked her what she used, and she told me which kind of surprised me, because most people are so smarmy about their tricks!
She said she gives them hot oil treatments after each bath and scribbled down on her card "Queen Helene Placenta Hot Oil Treatment"...I'm not actually aware of there is placenta in it or not (yuck!), but tbh I'd use it if it had frog weeny in it its so fabulous. I think it's just mineral oil of sorts though?
Anyway, after you have shampooed and conditioned your dog, you put the warmed oil on their towel dried coat and massage it in...I covered Bryco and Leah pretty heavily and used about 2 oz on each. Then, you wrap them in a towel for 3 minutes (I did 10 lol), and then rinse with warm water. You then dry as desired.
Let me just say, I have NEVER seen such a fantastic looking coat on any of my dogs. Leah literally was sparkling, her coat looked so lush and just absolutely rich, despite her having blown a lot due to her heat. Bryco's coat feels so strong and supple and looks even healthier than normal.
This product gets 5 stars from me and I HIGHLY recommend it to revitalize dry or lifeless coats on any dog!
I used it 3 days ago and their coats still just feel fantastic. They felt lovely before but this just really gives a fantastic 'feel' to them as well as a healthy strong look.
