If its on his bum, i t might be something to do with the anal glands.
A year or so ago, one of Lulas got blocked and she got what looked like a bite or big pimple by the side of her bum. The vet said to leave it as it would burst and then we could clean it up properly. They said if it didn't burst within two days, she was going to lance it!!!!!!
Luckily (?i think) it burst the next morning and the vet cleaned it up and i had to syringe it for about three days. She was also given an antibiotic.
It was ok and now its just a tiny scar. My point..(sorry to waffle lol) is that it looked just like a big cut when it burst and Lula was not happy about us touching it and cleaning it!

Turns out it was an abcess, and the one on the other side was about to do the same. So no stitches thankfully just meds and a super sized buster collar they tried 3 different sizes on him and he kept finding a way to get to it They shaved his bum he looks so neglected lol Such an expensive dog

Aww, poor Jake. Glad to hear he is all taken care of though and on his way to mend. Good thoughts coming to Jake (and you!)! In my experience, when my pups are being super bratty, they are in some real pain.

Poor boy must of been like that for a while bet he smells better!! Did they show you how to express his glands yourself? I would be inclined to empty them myself In future. No one needs added expense on top of Christmas

Thank u :-) its normally the injections that make him turn bratty hes been like it since he was microchipped he used to be fine before :-( The thing is he didn't even smell, he didn't show any signs that they needed doing and hes never had them done before. Daisy has to have them done quite often she was really full at just 5 months old the vets were shocked. Im too scared to do it myself incase I damage them so he can get them done with daisy at work. They asked me if he was a handbag dog because his nails were long lol
