hahahah im far from pure to..but thats not what any of us mean.. i dont think a colour or pedigree makes anyones dogs better than others.. i have strong beliefs in what should be bred and what shouldn't. My biggest issue with Merles other than the possible health problems from poor breeding is that they tell you that they are rare and are a full chi unfortunately its not the case.. if they would admit it i wouldnt have an issue with it but unfortunately not everyone does.. its incredibly sad.. and unscrupulous (wow big word sarah!!) breeders will use this and people naievety to make some money of the public who fall for it.. and end up with deaf and blind dogs..
For examply the sheltie who got BOB at westminster this week is from a double merle sire.. his sire is totally deaf and blind.. its disgusting.

i know it's not, and i totally understand the concerns. but with any breed that's mixed, if the Breeder is aware of what is going on and is taking the necessary precautions and i am aware, and following suit.. i really do believe she can be just as healthy as a pure chi, and just as sweet. i've already got her training classes registered, found a raw food supplier in my area, a loving sweet thorough vet to tend to her every need.. i'm doing my part to ensure she is a sweet girl, and not a nippy yippy nasty dog. and if health concerns should arise at any point.. we'll deal with them appropriately and always do what's best for her.  |

she's my first, and i'm soo very excited Sarah. ask Lucy, i've chatted her poor eyes off for days..lol.
i know with chi's.. it starts with one, and becomes a flock in no time. <3 and i am so okay with this.. since i've had my kids.. and don't intend to have anymore, i'll go chi kids for sure. lol.
