Jean the one with SM.. was graded 2b.. so is between 3 and 5 years yes? Are you recommeded to scan him/her again to see if its progressed (seeing its meant to be a progressive disease?) did they give you any recommendations.. i know with Cavs you breed certain grades to each other to make the likely hood of any inherited genes to be lesser but since you said yours have no symptoms whatsoever i am not sure if the grading the BVA are using is correct for chihuahuas

i am beginning to think that at leat 50% of chihuahuas are affected and 100% have CM

I'm thinking all chis have chari too. Sorry your results were not better would you be able to share there pedigrees with us. I'm trying to collect together as much information to see if anything ties up with the breeding I have.

i think the same louise.. which makes me even more certain that what the neurologist said to you is true that its not always connected and not to panic if your dog has CM.
I still have that information we worked out from the last set of results.. It seems to be only longs being tested atm.. yet that 'conversation' i had with GF with you and Rosie there he stated it was rife in smooths :S

He was trying to put you off the sent before you blew his cover! I would forget that whole convo because a lot of it wasn't true.

Lmao you reckon? That's so naughty.. I was hardly going to blow cover.. I said I heard that particular dog had it, maybe if I'd said was producing dogs with it he would of reacted differently. I am concerned about that particular line though as I don't know where the truth is in it and none of those prolific studs (or broods for that matter) are being tested. Could email the breeder since he's responded to me before but frankly I think I'd be strung up!

Louise, could you email me on jean.longley@ntlworld.com and I will send you copies of the pedigrees and results if you are doing some work on the lines. I am in trouble on FB for posting the results, so am reluctant to post on here too, but if you are investigating it, then feel it is in all our interests to have some sort of co-ordinator.
