What weight do you think is acceptable to breed from? I have a bitch just under 4lbs and wouldnt breed from her because she's teeny but then you see silly adverts stating that the parents were only 2lbs!

Think it depends on the bitches actually size. Weight is a funny subject. I think if they have a big pelvis and can carry a litter it's ok. If I was to go on weight I'd hope 4lb but that would worry me a bit

Seriously I don't think they stop growing til 18 months. Need at least 1/2 to 1lb on leilani

The Tampico line is teeny. I wonder how big Lyns broods are... I'd love to breed Lily but I'm not experienced enough and she's nearly 2 so she's not gonna get any bigger lol I'd be happy if she were nearer 5lbs

there are a lot of huge tampico dogs out there that lynn has sold...... how big is lily?

4lbs. Her breeder and the vet think she's big enough but I'm in two minds lol I don't think I have the experience if something went wrong. I've thought about it her last 2 seasons and chickened out each time haha
