Yes yes, that is what I was thinking about! LOL I'm getting Neal used to the idea too of course it was in the same conversation as not being able to keep Mobie so he had to agree. LOL I've been chatting with one of the "better" ME breeders (though we don't really have any great show breeders around) & she's told me which of her dogs have the better pedigrees. One litter she has now is one of them & she has another coming up. Anyway, I'd love a Green Chi girl baby to show some day though. **sigh** I need to start really scoping out the show world we have around here. I don't think it is much of anything.

There isn't much up that way that I know of. There is a lady in Rhode Island, Stacey Amirov, that has fabulous chi babies -- Starsen Chihuahuas, but she has a 5+ year waiting list and it seems the list doesn't get any shorter, I've been on it for a year and its still 5 years LOL. Might be worth getting on, b'c worst comes to worst you just pass when your turn is up...another good east coast breed is Hallmark's chihuahuas...but the show pups START at $2500. The first few litters I will retain "show hopefuls" until 6 months, and sell girls for $1000 and boys for $750. After that, depending on demand I will probably jack that up lol. But either way, most of the girls I've looked at that are anywhere near decent have been upwards of $2k. I really do believe Katie is something special -- and will produce lovely babies for me. Many people wait years and years to get such a nice brood bitch, so, I feel especially lucky. The fact that she possibly could show is what makes her so special--b'c many times, broods and show bitches are different animals here in the states. Do you know what you will do as far as Mobie goes yet? See I totally understand your struggle b'c its really the same one I had w/ Asia -- keep, b'c a wonderful little animal, but realize she takes up a "space" that a show or breed dog could take? Or let her have a fabulous pet home, and go forward its hard to do.

Crap I feel like I need to get on your "list" if you'll be that reasonable in the beginning!! LOL Sounds like a good plan though. And if you're able to show & do well with Katie I'm sure you could easily get way better prices for the pups sooner! Mobie...I've pretty much decided he needs to go if I EVER want to get a show dog and/or breed again in the next 15 years. But he needs to go to someone I know & know will take perfect care of him. LOL That's my mission right now. And honestly...I'm in the process of talking with Pockets owner. She was on the fence about getting him in the beginning as well as Pockets but being as she's never had a dog herself she didn't want to commit. They are so blown away & over the moon in love with Pockes & her hubby said he'd take Mobie if my hubby made me "put him by the mailbox". (long story you may or may not have heard LOL) Anyway, I sort of put a bug in her ear yesterday at work & told them to chat about it. But she also told me her daughter wanted her to start calling him Boo if they got him (so I guess they'd been discussing it anyway). Her daughters fav author is Boo Radley so that's what she has wanted to name her "white dog" when she gets him. So we'll see. Fingers crossed! Mobie may become a Boo... haha
