I know what you mean. Its almost as if they ignore the pain? Maybe they aren't in pain, I just don't understand it! You should've seen Chaos playing today, I felt sick so I know exactly what you're saying. Lets hope the next 6 weeks fly by! I hope so! Roo does not seem to be in any pain anymore at this point, but surely she must be in some. She doesn't act like it though. It's hard to tell sometimes though, I think dogs do hide it really well. The ortho told me to stop her pain meds this weekend and see how it goes. Give it her every other day if she acts like she needs it, but he wants me to start weaning her off them now.

She needs an ostrich tendon!!!!! Ha! She probably would love that. She's been having a bully fest over here. It definitely helps keep her occupied.

I suppose its a good way to let her know her own limits, coming off the pain meds I mean.
I really wish they could talk haha

She is doing really good! Thanks so much for asking, hun. She's walking so well, I'm really thrilled. Her right leg seems slightly weaker muscle wise, but she is using it daily without issue and it will strengthen naturally with regular use after her recovery. The hardest part is keeping her contained. It's become so hard and is honestly doing my head in. She so badly wants things back to normal. The good part is she really has the best disposition. She naturally cries off and on being in her crate, but the minute I go over she gets all excited wagging her tail like mad and squirming about. For the most part she is her usual happy spirited self. She's been spending a lot of time on my lap lately which helps. It's really weird not picking up her toys every day now. The toy box is gathering dust. Aww. I really think she is ahead of the curve because when I read about people's experiences she seems to be using her legs better in these early stages than many dogs who have had bilateral TTA (tibial tuberosity advancement). She is using her legs really well and I'm pretty certain if I didn't have her harnessed and leashed she could seriously take off running and jumping. lol. Now it's just the waiting that is a killer. Her 2nd recheck is on May 19th where they'll take xrays to check healing and to make sure the pins haven't migrated. I'll let everyone know how it goes, of course.
