Sounds like little Roo is doing wonderfully! If all checks out well at her appt in May is that when she will be able to resume her normal activities? I bet youre counting down the days!

I'm not sure if she will be able to resume all normal activities at that point. The orthopedic surgeon told me about 6 weeks for recovery, but I have a feeling they might still not want her jumping and running around unrestricted outside for a bit after that. Play inside might be ok, hopefully. I will be so terrified the first time she jumps off the sofa. I really wish I could get her out of that, but it will be hard. I do have steps which she uses to go up, but she tends to jump down. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what he says. Much will depend on the xrays and healing etc. Now it's just getting to that point. So far the time is really dragging.

So glad to hear it, Paula. I do think of you and Roo as I know its soooo hard to keep them 'locked up' and its not nice for either of you! Roo sounds like shes making a great recovery, though. I really am pleased and lets hope the next few weeks fly by and you get the all clear at the next check up! xx

Thanks Lucy and Amy! We're at the 3 week mark today. Her walking is better than ever now. She seems completely healed, but I know technically she's not. It's so weird to watch her walk from behind and not see her legs bowed like they were before. She was very bow-legged before. Her stance is so much straighter and more natural now that the muscles/tendons have been moved and pinned. yay.
