Ok to me it looks more like ringworm or some kind of fungus. Not all of those things cause itching, oozing, sores, etc. That doesn't look like normal skin pigment, so it doesn't look like CDA to me. Now, it wouldn't surprise me if it WERE CDA, because she is blue, and you have mentioned she came from a semi-sketchy background But, it just doesn't look like CDA to me. The skin wouldn't be a different color there I don't think,...?

That's interesting, Kristi, as Roo has the same thing and hers is CDA. Are you talking about the patch that I circled?

Roo's skin isn't a different color though...

I'm talking about the pinkish patch of skin, not the part you circled

Ah ok. I have seen photos of seasonal alopecia, as Katy mentioned, that did look sorta similar to that, but I think it could easily be something else too. No idea what though. I'd probably ask your vet, Katy.

I need to google it as I don't know what seasonal CDA looks like, but I will soon!

Thanks guys! Paula sorry the pics really arent clear, its actually the spot that looks red. Really though its like dark blue/ purple, not red. Shes not missing any of the fur along her spine, but she has little black hairs that run down her back so that might be making it look funny. It looks like the pics of seasonal alopecia to me too. Yes there is something "different" about the skin there, so I wondered about ringworm or something too. If it was ringworm though wouldnt it have spread on her body or to the other dogs? I will get a better picture today and add it.

I have seen seasonal alopecia that looks similar, but looking up pics of ringworm on the net just now, it does sorta look like it could potentially be that as well. Hmm. I hope you sort it soon, hun.
