ok im not here to scare, and i really hope she does not have pyo. candy had it the same time cody died, it gives off an awful smell with discharge if you do not catch it in time your dog is more likely to die. it can be treated with antibiotics, but that is 50/50. candy had an operation within 2 days, she went totatly downhill overnight.and lost 2 lbs, when she ate it came back and she also had the trots. its really worrying as we were told there was no guarantee she would pull through. thankfully she did, but has not been the same since, imo. its hard to keep her weight up, and hard to get her to eat enough calories, she gets narked very easily, i dont know if these are the after effects or not, but she is not the same dog. i hope you get good results. i know here dogs trust spay for 20 euro, all you have to produce is your card to say you are on welfare, not who else lives in your house, better then the 350 eu we had to pay.

The vet thinks shes just in season, i said shes been weeing alot and he had nothing to say about that, took her temp and felt her stomach said she was fine charged me £32 and once again i've left the vets not having a clue whats going on so definatly changing vets now i think they are taking the piss out of me and how easily i will cough up money for my dogs. He said if i have any other reason to worry they can do an ultrasound (wish i would have just had it done anyway instead of the consultation as they charge the same amount) Heidis going back on monday to get her stitches out and he said to bring daisy back with me then but then im done at that vets

My mum asked the same question- nope no explanation for it at all! I really feel like they are laughing at me at the vets, even the receptionist said they though the chances of a 10 month old having it was pretty slim i was like wtf why not tell me that over the phone before booking me an appointment. Im really angry with them

i know with our female akita she had hormone imbalance and she came into heat after 3 months on her last heat, she was booked in to be spayed for the tuesday and we spotted it on the monday, i cried and cried, akitas have 10 -12 pups, thankfully we were spared, but had to send our male on holidays. she was spayed 6 weeks later.

Thats why now I always make a list of things I want to know before I go in there. Its not like the NHS, you're paying for the consultation so really you don't have to leave the room until you are 100% satisfied with what they've told you. My vets usually try and get me out of the door but I just make sure I know everything I want to know.
And you know even if they had given you a statistic over the phone, its still better to go in and get checked, just in case because you really, you just never know.
