Had a stressful walk with daisy i let her off lead as no dogs were around then a dog in a garden barked and spooked her so she ran, couldn't get her back with treats so tried to stay calm and hope she would walk back to me apart from she didn't she ran out the flipping park. Then she decided to run away from me when i went after her thankfully i managed to grab her harness the little cowbag. THEN i take her back to my dads, she sat on the stairs and when she got up i realised there was blood there, shes come back into season! Shes only just had her first season about 3 months ago. We are supposed to be having Tayo here next week too as my dad is going away so we're going to have 2 in tact males in the house with 1 bitch in season....great Oh and to top it off it looks like Tayo still has an eye infection

Aw sorry to hear you've had a bit of a crap day Do you have an extendable leash? I wouldn't let her off lead in future until she can 100% be trusted, just to be safe. I thought Daisy was getting spayed? Can anyone else have her for you while the boys are there? They will probably do anything to get to her and you do not want to get caught out!

Oh gosh my daisy did that once too when she was a pup but was siting on my doorstep. Sounds like she's had a split season?? I would send her away if I was you it's not fair on the boys both will fight for her and obv beig dad and bro you don't want them anywhere near her!! And it's stressful for you guys!!! I agree I wouldn't let her off lead until her recall is better

Thank u. She normally is on an extendable leash but her recall was getting better so i thought i'd let her have a quick run in the park then that happened, i might get a training lead and try again. Yeh she is getting spayed, i was planning on having her done after her 2nd season which i thought would be when she was at least 12 months old but now will have to talk to the vets about it. I dont know anyone else (that i trust anyway) that could have her, i'll just keep the boys in a seperate room and crate them all when im at work I might see if anyone will have the boys, i'd rather have Daisy with me so i know exactly whats gone on

I would be worried about pyometra if its so close to her last season, not just a split season? but UGH that is awful, ... I don't let mine off lead b'c they aren't reliable. When we first moved into the new house Trigger and Bryco ran off chasing horses that were 2 farms away I was certain they were gone for good between hawks, coyotes, horse hooves...ugh! glad you gother back safe.

It could be pyo! Is she swollen showing any other behaviours?
Natalie why are you waiting u til after the 2nd season? Each season they have increases the risk of Mammary cancer and pyometra which can be deadly. Just somethig worth thinking about
How old is she? What was her season like before??

Whats pyrometra? I have heard of it but do you mean she may have that and not be in season? I cant understand why she would be in season again My other 2 are really good off lead heidi so much that she doesn't even have to leave the house with a lead on but for some reason daisy has turned out a brat
